Sean's Buzz Lightyear Birthday Party!!! (really late)

Well...Sean had a Buzz Lightyear Birthday party on Feb. 20th (his actual birthday)Sorry I am just now getting around to posting about it!
He had a blast!! Sean LOVES Toy Story...especially Buzz so I thought it would be perfect to have Buzz be his bday theme. Boy was I right! I put Sean down for a nap before his party so I could decorate and when he woke up and saw all the Buzz stuff he was soooooo excited. He just kept saying BUZZ YEAR!!! (meaning Buzz Lightyear)

Yes I know my New Year's Resolution was to have a new post each week but..... honestly I have been drawing a blank!
I open up a new post, start to type, and then I don't like what it says so I close it and decide I will try again later. But nothing comes to me later!! So for this post I decided I would just simply update you on my little man!
He has been in his toddler bed now for a few weeks and is doing great. Surprisingly, he goes to bed alot easier then I thought. He doesn't even get out of his bed to play with his toys! Although he is starting to develop a little habit of waking at 3am and climb into bed with us. I would try to put an end to this...but since we go to work at 5am, our alarm goes off at 4....so I really don't feel like getting out of bed an hour before my alarm goes off just to fight with him for 30 mins til he finally falls back asleep then head back to my bed to try and fall back asleep so that just as I finally do I can be greeted by the sound of my alarm! Trust me....I thought about that and having him cuddled next to me while sleeping an extra hour just sounds way better!! On the weekends however I do get up and take him back to his bed:0). Howevere last night I didn't have to because he didn't come into bed with us so that was a step in the right direction!!!
Oh and another big boy update....we started potty training officially last week and he has been in big boy underwear ever since. He started out with only a couple accidents here and there, but has been accident free for 4 days now! I haven't try naps/nights yet, however this morning Sean came in my room at 5:30 am saying "POTTY!!!!" so I took him to the bathroom and to my surprise his diaper was completely dry and he went potty in the toilet! Now I am not ready to put him in underwear at night just yet but its a start! And normally for outings I will still put him in a diaper just in case (mostly b/c I am nervous and even though he wears a diaper he will still tell me when he needs to go) but today I took him out all day in his big boy underwear...to lunch, walmart, & a visit to Aunt Brittany at work....and no accidents! Every time he had to go he told me! I am so proud of him and its wonderful not changing diapers!!!!
Okay well that's all I have for now! I will try and make up for my lack of posts by posting a couple this week...but we shall see!

Sean went potty in the "Big Boy Potty" today!!!!!!

He was in the living room and just took his diaper off and shouted "MOMMY POTTY". So we ran to the potty and he climbed up on it AND...he went #1 and #2!!!!! I couldn't believe it! I started clapping, saying "GOOD JOB BIG BOY!!" and he got so excited! He then got off, flushed the toilet then climbed up on his step stool and washed his hands! I just can't believe he told me he had to go and just went!! Guess it's time to really start trying the whole potty training thing!!

How can this be comfortable???

This was today at nap time. He first slept in his crib for 2 hours, then I heard him say "mommy" on the monitor so I went in to get him and found that from the time it took me to walk to his bedroom he had gotten out of his crib and fell asleep on his Toy Story couch as you see in the above picture. I have no idea how he could possible be comfortable enough to fall asleep like that, but obviously he was!
He can get out in .2 seconds, LITERALLY ! For the past week I put him in his crib then shut the door, and as I am turning the handle to close it Sean has already climbed out and is turning the handle open!! Just the other night at 3 in the morning while I was sleeping I heard "mommy" and turned to see Sean at the foot of our bed! He then proceeded to climb into bed with us, get under the covers, said "night night" and fell back asleep!
So I guess we will be changing his crib over to a toddler bed this weekend since his crib is pretty much POINTLESS now! But I have no clue how I am going to get him to sleep since he will be able to get out of bed so easily (not that his crib hasn't been easy to get out of to him lately!)...anyone have any suggestions??!

So its not exactly every ones idea of relaxation...

So moms....just imagine 2 hours of pure peace and quiet away from the kids.... going to a place where you walk in and everyone is SUPER nice to you, they immediately ask you if they can get you anything to eat or drink....and I am talking good stuff like rice crispy treats, cookies, popcorn & soda! Then they open up a HUGE cabinet and tell you to pick out a movie from like hundreds!!! Then climbing into a cozy recliner and those super nice people putting headphones on you, starting your movie, and covering you with cozy warm blankets! Then just spending 2 hours watching your movie with no interruptions except those super nice people asking if your okay or if they can get you anything else! Sounds GREAT right??!!! Then when your movie is over they just take the needles out, give you more great snacks, some sorta cool gift like a big coffee mug and your out the door. Errhh...did I forget to mention the needle part???

Whoops....well the reason needles would need to be removed before leaving is because to get this great service, awesome snacks and 2 hours of "relaxation" you would need to donate platelets!!! I know, I know...its not exactly every ones idea of relaxation when they have two needles sticking out of their arms. But I probably had you wanting to sign right up before that needle part right?!
Well today I donated platelets for the first time and to be perfectly honest, it really didn't hurt...it just felt like giving blood. And it was nice to be able to sit down and enjoy a movie (my selection was Devil Wears Prada....loved it!) without a super active, non-stop, crazy toddler climbing and jumping all over me! Plus it felt awesome to know that I was helping someone in need!
For those of you who I didn't scare off at the word needle, but aren't sure what platelet donation is all about I'll give ya a little info. First, platelets are super important, they are vital to life. They prevent massive blood loss by helping your blood to clot. Platelets are needed for cancer patients, organ transplant patients, patients undergoing bone marrow transplants, and some patients undergoing surgery. Donating platelets, to me, felt alot like donating whole blood. Only with donating platelets they put a needle in one arm that takes blood out and then put another needle in the other arm that puts the blood back in. The blood that is taken out goes through a machine that separate the platelets into a bag for donation then it puts the rest of the blood back into you. I really didn't feel much, just the initial sticks of the needles. Then you sit back for 90 mins to 2 hours and watch a movie. I have talked to some people that say they sometimes experience tingling or numbness in their lips (due to loss of calcium) but they give you Tums and it goes away. That didn't happen to me. I just laid back and enjoyed the movie! My best fiend Kylee came with me and also donated and she said the same thing....just felt the needle prick and then watched a movie!
I really encourage you to donate platelets if you can. I am sooo glad I did! I had always seen things about it while donating blood but didn't quite know what it was about until I was listening to one of my favorite radio stations, Spirit Fm, and the host Abby mentioned that she does it. I then read her blog about it and became really interested in doing it so I emailed her to ask her some more questions. She answered all my questions (believe me I asked a ton!)After that I called my local blood service center and set up the apointment. I know it seems like a hassle because taking 2 hours to donate is a long time but just think, you will be helping someone critically ill and get a little relaxation or my crazy definition of it anyway :0)

The BEST Christmas present ever!!!!

My Nephew Hunter was born 12/22/09! He was 6lbs 11ozs 19 1/2 inches long! We were not expecting him to be here for Christmas because my sister was not due until January 11th but little Hunter decided he didn't want to wait a whole year to get in on the Christmas present action! My sister was feeling crampy on Monday and went to the dr., they told her she was 2 cm and they did a sono to check her placenta....everything was fine so she went home. The next morning she was getting ready for work....and her water broke! It was prefect timing because her husband who works out of town, had the entire week off and had just got home that day! So they arrived at the hospital at 5:15 am and Hunter was born at 8:19am!!!!! Yes you read that right....my little sister....first time mom....had her baby 2 weeks and 6 days early and in only 3 hrs!!!! Fast labors run in the family though....my mom had me in 2 1/2 hrs, Steph in 1 1/2 and Britt in 19 mins! I had the longest labor...at about 5 1/2 hrs.

My sister did a great job and Hunter is absolutly perfect!! They went home the very next day and we all celebrated Hunter's first Christmas at my sister's house yesterday.
I took Sean over to meet Hunter on Christmas eve and he fell instantly in love with him. He wanted to kiss and hug him as soon as he saw him. It was soooo cute!

Look Who's on Santa's Lap........

Well...I finally took Sean to see Santa on Thursday. He has been saying "tanta" now for weeks every time we pass by a Santa pic, figurine, or see him on tv. So when I told him we were going to see Santa he got sooooo excited! I got him all dressed up in a nice sweater and brand new shoes, fought traffic getting to the mall, searched forever to find a parking spot, waited in a SUPER long line with a very impatient toddler saying "TANTA!!" the whole time, FINALLY made it to Santa's lap, sat Sean on Santa's lap and.....he SCREAMED AND CRIED!!!!!!!!!!! Yep after Sean was soooo excited to see Santa he sat in his lap and just screamed and cried...I tried giving him a candy cane, the picture lady jumped up and down with jingle bells...nothing worked....EXCEPT.........

YEP....Mommy sitting on Santa's lap with Sean!!! ha I was sooooo not planning on that.. hence the jacket...I soooo would have dressed a little nicer! But oh well. At least he stopped crying. And after the pic he turned and said "BYE TANTA!" Little Booger! I am hoping next year I won't have to sit on Santa's lap again!

****on a side note... I wanted to point out that I getting a jump start on my New Year's resolution by posting weekly! See.. 2 post in less then a week! GO ME!!!

My New Year's Resolutions!!!!

#1.......POSTING ON THIS BLOG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know I know...I think every time I post I say how I am so sorry it's been such a long time since I last posted and how I promise to get better at it! So that's why I am going to make this one of my new year's resolutions!!!! I would love to say that I plan to make daily updates but I don't want to set myself up for failure! So I am going to set a more realistic goal....my resolution is to post once a week!!! I think part of my problem has been that I don't want to post an update if I don't have a picture and since a Disney employee dropped ours and broke it at Disney we have been without one for a while! So I will post even if it means no picture! Also I didn't have a computer for a while but since my wonderful husband got me a SUPER awesome mini notebook for my bday I really have no excuse now...so who knows maybe I will post more then once a week!
While I am on the subject of New Year's resolutions I figured I would share my others with you....thanks Jen for the idea (if you don't read her blog you should its great and she updates it all the time!)
Normally every year my new year's resolution is the same...to lose weight! Ha isn't every ones??!! But not this year because I got a head start on it..I have been in a weight loss contest for the last 3 months and with less than a week left I am in first place hoping to win $430 bucks!!! I have lost 23 lbs and am 19 lbs less then I was when I first got pregnant with Sean!!!I have lost about 5-7 lbs less then what I really should be at so since I could stand to gain a couple lbs back ....the contest ends the 22nd and you better believe we already have plans for a cookout complete with cheeseburgers, french fries and oh course WINE!!!!! HAHA!!! But after I get back to a good healthy weight, one of my resolutions is to MAINTAIN my weight!!!!

I have been running alot since the contest started and I want to keep doing that at least twice a week along with some spinning and toning classes. I ran a 5k a few weeks ago and I plan to run another in February!!!
Another resolution I have is very different from ANY New Year resolution I have ever had.....I want to read the bible in a year!

Yep....that's my resolution!!! I asked Justin to get me the "One Year Bible" for Christmas and it takes you through the whole bible in a year...just way easier to read....the book starts on January 1st and just has a few pages to read daily. I asked him to get me the NIV version so it would be even easier to read. We have been going to church regularly now for months and I teach Sunday school but I have never actually sat down and read the bible all the way through. I recently went to a bible study group and it truly changed me! I absolutely loved it and it had me reading little bits of the bible and left me wanting to read the rest. So....that's my resolution! I figure if I can make time to read all the twilight books...some multiple times...then I can find time to read a few pages of the bible daily!
My last resolution is to juggle everything while staying on top of them all!!!

There are soooooo many things that fall into this category! NUMBER 1...LAUNDRY!!!!! Then there is just the daily things like dishes and picking up the house! Staying productive at work! Cooking!The list go3es on and on!!! I am gonna try SUPER hard in this category though because I always just kinda put things off but 2010 is a new year!!!
So...there you have it! All my New Year's resolutions!!!
So you will definitely get to see if I follow through with my first resolution...posting weekly! I truly am gonna try super hard! I mean after all, its a New Year's resolution and no one every breaks those... right?!!!

Well both of my guys....(my husband and my son just to clarify since I know what you're thinking)are in my room sleeping. So I decided to go through Justin's pictures on his phone and upload them to my computer...since I have been asking him to do this for a while and it hasn't happened! Justin and I both dive...although he dives WAY more than me. He has made it clear that the second Sean is old enough he is getting him certified. Well thats quite a ways away! But when Justin saw they made wetsuits in Sean's size he HAD to get it...not sure what the need for it is....but he looked so cute in it so I gave in and let him buy it.

I promise...I will get better!!! I take so many pictures with every intention of posting them....but then well...life gets in the way! There are clothes to put away, dishes to be done, carpets to vacuum, groceries to buy, dinners to make.....oh and a SUPER active toddler begging for ALL of my attention... making it impossible for me to even get done half of the above list...just ask my husband...hes always asking me..."are my shorts clean?" to which I reply "yes...but they are still in the dryer I haven't had time to put them up!" So...sadly my blog gets shoved to the very end of my super long list....and well...I cant tell you the last time I made it to the end of the list!
So....I am going to try and find more time for this! I may just have to do it during nap time...but hey at least it will get done!

A few months ago Justin and I bought Bush Gardens, Sea World, Adventure Island, and Aquatica passes.....they have a EZpay plan so we decided it would be a good idea... Sean is free right now! I took Sean to Bush Gardens first and he had a blast...so much so that I have taken him there tons of times since!!
They have a whole area for little kids called Dragon Land and its really neat...they have a water area to play in, tons of rides, a playground, sand box, and LOTS more things!
I took a ton of pictures....here are some from our first time...

and here are all the ones from the second trip we went with his older girlfrined Brilei....he Loved running through the water and climbing up the little stairs!

Sean LOVES to be outside and when we go to the beach he LOVES to play in the sand...so what better thing to get then a sand box for outside?!! I took a few gift cards I have been saving up from his bday and went to toysrus to get the Crabbie Sandbox...its just like the turtle one Im sure everyone has seen with the lid, only this holds a little more sand.
We went to Walmart to get the sand because toyrus sand was way too expensive,....then we set it up and Sean went to town throwing sand in his hair and on me! HaHa...he LOVES IT! Oh..and so do I...he actually stayed in it for an hour...yep you read right...my son...Sean...stayed in the SAME spot for an hour!!!!

Long Time No Post!!! .....Guess What.....

What...did you think I was gonna say he was gonna be a big brother??? hahahahaha....HECK NO!!! NOT YET!!
Sean is gonna be a cousin!!!! My sister Stephanie is having a baby!!!! I made this shirt and we took Sean over to my mom and dad's to share the news. I walked in and Stephanie was holding Sean...she handed him over to my dad and they played for 5 minutes before my sister Brittany finally started staring at the back of his shirt and had the most confused look on her face. Then she said "wait..is someone pregnant...who is pregnant??" My mom had no clue what she was talking about because they had not yet noticed the shirt. Stephanie started laughing and told our parents to read Sean's shirt and then it was like a light bulb went on in the room! My mom hugged Stephanie and said congrats....then Brittany looked at her and said "oh you're pregnant?!" haha...I said "ummm yea Steph is pregnant...thats the only way Sean would be a cousin unless you were!!"
It was such a great way for her to tell our parents. I am sooo thrilled I am gonna be an Aunt! Stephanie is gonna make a great mom! Congrats sis!!!!!!!!

Another Easter Post!

Sean had quite a busy day! First we went to church at 7 this morning...yes I said 7! Then we went home ...Sean got his Easter basket and then it was time for a little nap. After nap time we all went to my Aunt and Uncle's for Easter lunch...Sean had a blast there...TONS of people to give him attention! Grandma and Grandpa also gave him his Easter basket there...full of LOTS of stuff....including Buzz Lightyear boxing gloves...which of course Sean LOVES!!
After my Aunt's we headed to Nana and Papa's for an Easter egg hunt and some more food. Sean's Great Grandma and Grandpa were also there!
Sean absolutely LOVED egg hunting!!! He thought the eggs were balls and just kept yelling "BALL" everytime he saw one. It was so fun watching him....I just can't believe last year at Easter he was only a few weeks old and this Easter he was running around and collected Easter eggs!

I took Sean to see the Easter Bunny on Friday and he did pretty good. I did have to sit with him though! He took one look at that huge furry bunny and had terror in his eyes, so I decided to avoid the tears and just sit Sean on my lap next to the bunny. Isn't it sad that my one year old is dressed WAY better than me?!! Obviously I was not planning on having to be in the picture...but oh well..I think it turned out okay....

Okay...I have a confession! I always said I would take Sean's pacifier away before he turned one...I didn't wanna be that mom walking around with her 5 year old who has a binkie hanging out of his mouth!!But...I didn't take it away before one!!
I almost had him completely done with it at 6 months...but then he got sick and got attached to it. So I decided to wait....and then I waited more..and waited more! Well since about 10 months he has only had his pacifier for naps and night time...but I just hadn't tried to put him to sleep without it because.....well to be honest.....I LOVE my sleep and didn't want to sacrifice it!!!
Well I changed my feeling after watching Super Nanny with my mom Friday night! There were 4 year old twins...who STILL had there binkies!!! Not just at night..but ALL day! When they took them away the little boy threw a tantrum for over an hour ...screaming...climbing up on chairs trying to reach them on the tv!!! I looked at my mom with wide eyes...then looked at Sean and said "that's it! Bye Bye Binkie!!!"
I decided it would be MUCH better to lose a little sleep now, then to let him get even more attached to it and lose a lot of sleep later! So that night I put Sean to bed without it....and GUESS WHAT....he didn't even care! He just rolled over, closed his eyes and went to sleep with NO fussing!! Then for nap time Saturday I laid him down...and although he cried a few minutes, he went to sleep and slept for 3 hrs!
I was soo excited, I throw away all his binkies and he has not even missed them! I guess I should have tried earlier but I seriously was dreading taking them away because I was expecting a huge tantrum with no sleep...but he sure made it easy!! Now it really feels like he is a toddler...no more bottles, no binkies.....my little baby isn't a baby anymore....where did the time go???
Look...here he is tonight...with no binkie...sleeping just as peacefully!

4.)I love snow! haha..I know those of you who live in it think Im crazy..but I have only seen it once and absolutely loved it!
5.)I love vacation! Even if we don't go anywhere...its just nice to get away from work...and sleep in!
6.)I love a clean house! I hate cleaning it...but LOVE when its clean!
7.)I love taking a nice long bubble bath with a big glass of wine and a good book! I don't get to do that too often now with Sean...but there have been a few times that Justin will surprise me with a glass of wine next to a bubble bath and let me relax and read while he takes care of Sean! I LOVE LOVE LOVE that!

St. Patty's Day Play Date at the Beach!

Saige, Tonya, Sean, and I

Since I am still a part time mommy until the end of April I thought I should live it up while I still can! So today I went out to my friend Tonya's house...she lives RIGHT across the street from the beach(LUCKY!!!). She has a daughter, Saige, who Sean just loves! They are only a little over a month apart and make the cutest little couple! Tonya, her boyfriend and Saige are all leaving Sunday to move back to Virginia so I really wanted to see them again before they left! Justin, Sean, and I already went out there just this past Friday..but I thought "what the heck! We're not doing anything today!" So I loaded up my little man and off we went! He loves the beach just like his mommy and daddy...after all we did get married on the beach!
We have had GREAT weather for the past month so I didn't even think to check the forcast before planning my little beach play date! Of course...30% chance of rain and cloudy. But despite the forcast it turned out to be a nice day...I mean...yes...it was a little cloudy, but I actually think that may have been better for Sean..Friday when we went it was SOOOO hot and I had to keep him under the umberella most of the time...but not today...I just pretty much bathed him in waterbabies and he was good to go! He had sooo much fun with Saige!
I also called a few friends and they met us at the beach too...Sean seriously LOVED everyone...he was waving and dancing as soon as the radio was turned on! He had such a blast!
Sean and Saige played together with their toys for quite a while...why is that? When he is at home he plays with his toys for about 5 minutes and throws them!!

I made a BIG mistake!! I should have read the rules a little more carefully.... I had to take down my giveaway because I found out today through numerous emails that I am not allowed to link my personal site on the Internet! Sorry!! I guess someone saw my post about the giveaway and saw that I included my link...and instead of just being nice and emailing me, so that I could learn something since I am very new, they decided to go on a forum and put a link to my sons blog on it...and titled the post "Unbelievable Violation". I don't understand why it would be so unbelievable...I am new at this and do not know everything. I didn't realize I wasn't allowed, I would never intentionally do something to violate the rules.
So I just wanted you all to know why that post was removed in case anyone was wondering! Thank you all for your comments about my giveaway! I will still be giving away something since I feel so bad for not being as knowledgeable as I should have been! I'm just going to put all of my friends who read this into a hat and draw a name! Changing things a little!!....

Okay..will its kinda a big a change...Sean will no longer be writing this blog...Mommy will!! Yep that's right..me!I thought I would switch it up...since Sean is one now I realize I am not going to be able to write in his words forever...Soon he will be talking and next thing I know he will want to write his blog himself.... lord only knows what he will want to write about then! So from now on I will write in my words...it will still be mainly about Sean, but I will also include insight about how it is to raise my wonderful little guy...and may even include some not so wonderful moments (although my mom may think they are funny seeing as how every time Sean throws a fit she tells me he is paying me back for my teenage years...I honestly haven't a clue what she is talking about... seeing as how I was an absolute angle ;)
So I hope you all don't mind this change! I just thought it may be a little more interesting from my perspective and who knows....I may even throw in a few giveaways from time to time...HINT HINT...be sure to keep reading to see whats in store!

Cupcakes, Presents, and Grandpa as Spiderman= AWESOME Birthday Party

Well...I am offically ONE! My birthday party was yesterday and I had sooooo much fun!!! I got a TON of clothes and toys!!! Oh...and get this...my grandpa dressed up as Spiderman!!! I know its just my first birthday but I think it was the coolest birthday ever!!! There were lots of my family and friends there...and some of my girlfiends!
Everything was going good unil mommy had all those people crowd around my highchair and sing to me...then she placed this big cake in front of me... I didn't like that so I got upset! So mommy put a little cupcake in front of me instead and that was much better...more my size! Then mommy put some cake in my mouth...wow it was yummy! And I made a mess so Aunt Stephanie gave me a bath. After that I opened all my presents and played with all my toys! Oh...and one of the coolest things I got was spiderman light up shoes!!!! I love them!
Thanks so much to everyone for coming and all the great presents! Daddy told mommy today that we are not having a big party every year becasue we will run out of room for all the toys!! We'll see...

So how do you like it? I had a little talk with mommy and we decided that my blog looked too babyish and since I will be one Friday we figured it was time for a change! It had light blue and "cute" little ducks...like I said before I am not into "cute" so Mommy played around with it for a while...
and this is what I did while she worked...

I was soo tired while mommy was on the computer, then she sat me in my highchair with some cheese and after a couple bits I was out.
Then I woke up because mommy thought she lost all my pictures at one point and I thought she was gonna have a heart attack...but luckily she recovered them all and this is the final product! So what do ya think?!

Yep....I got my first hair cut today and all my little baby curls are gone! Mommy got teary eyed when Dan (same hair dresser who gave daddy his first hair cut)cut off the first curls! Well Happy New Year!!! I know I'm late! Once again its mommy's fault! But hey better late then never right?!
Well alot happened already this year...I learned how to WALK!!!!!!! I mean I'm not a pro yet or anything but I will walk to you if you have a bottle... or toys...or if you just cheer me on alot!I really like when people do the cheering thing... What can I say..I like just standing there, giving everyone the suspense...it just builds up so that when I do it everyone is sooo excited that they clap and give me lots of hugs and tons of cheers! Ha
Sorry, mommy doesn't have a video of me walking yet...she hasn't been able to catch me in the act! But she is trying,....maybe I will be nice this week and finally let her catch me...but I'm not promising!

Wow! Its been awhile!! I am sorry its taken so long to get back on and update everyone...but unfortunately I can't type myself and mommy has been super busy dealing with me being sick and then Christmas! But here I am! and guess what...no more rash!!! Well a day after my last post the rash got WAY worse, I got a high fever and had a febrile seizure and ended up in the ER. What a long night that was!!! They stuck me with needles and made me take xrays...it wasn't fun! But whatever they did helped because my rash started going away and then I was on a bunch of meds the following week...starting to get better... THEN....I got RSV! As if I haven't been sick enough!! Apparently I got it from the ER...there was a baby next to us that had it and its really contagious...so I got stuck with it!! And that really stunk because mommy normally goes to my great granny's every year for Christmas eve but she couldn't this year because I was still contagious and my 2nd cousin Cy, who was just born was there...and RSV in babies under 6 months normally puts them in the hospital. So..as bad as mommy and I wanted to go see everyone...we didn't want Cy to get sick!
Well...fast forward to Christmas...I started getting better and Christmas morning was GREAT! I got a TON of gifts!!!! LOTS AND LOTS of toys!!! and the best part..they all make lots of noise!!! Mommy said to tell everyone thanks for that..although she rolled her eyes when she said it....not really sure what that meant? But what I do know is I am having soo much fun with all those toys...to list a few...I got a laugh and learn musical table, a fun blow up penguin that i can knock around and he laughs, a VERY LOUD mower (thanks Aunt Steph and Uncle Richie), a laughing cow, leap frog musical maracas, a riding 4 wheeler! and TONS more!

Could I really be allergic to Broccoli?? No Way?!

Well...mommy gave me broccoli for the first time yesterday and then while giving me a bath she noticed I had a rash under my arms. Well nana took me to the Dr today and it got way worst! Its all over my arms, stomach, back, even on my knuckles, ears and my eye lid!! I feel miserable and just want it to be gone! Mommy is super worried about me. The dr said its either from the broccoli or my antibiotics for my ear infection. She thinks its most likely from the antibiotics even though I have been on them for almost 2 weeks now, she said sometimes that happens. She told mommy to stop giving me antibiotics and no more broccoli for now...which kinda stinks because I actually liked broccoli! But she said to give me benedryl and then once the rash goes away she can give me broccoli again...then if I get a rash we will know its broccoli...if not then its the meds...guess we will see.
well...oh course you know mommy had to take pics of the rash...and its actually way more red then you can see in the pics. Oh and my ears...wow they are HUGE and super red!!

I will post later this week to give you an update. Hopefully this goes away!

Mommy and Aunt Stephanie took me to the Park for the first time and grandma met us there. I had sooo much fun! I got to swing and slide down lots of slides, and mommy even let me sit in a tree! Oh...mommy also let me sit in the dirt and play! I LOVED that...mommy didn't though...she was freaking out when she saw dirt under my nails...so grandma had to remind her that I am a BOY and I am gonna get DIRTY!! So she took deep breaths and as soon as i was done she got out the wipes and gremx! geez mom!

Sorry its been so long since my last post...trust me mommy has tons of pictures to post but I thought since yesterday was Thanksgiving I better write about that first! I had a blast...of course I was the center of attention and everyone was fighting over me...you think they will still do that wwhen I hit the "trouble twos"?? Yea...didn't think so...so i figure I might as well live it up while I can!
We have LOTS of people over...mommy and daddy, nana, papa, grandma, grandpa, Uncle Richie, Aunt STephanie, Aunt Brittany, Aunt Kayla,Uncle Chris and his girlfriend Bridgette, Great Aunt Suzie, Great Uncle Joe,and Great Grandma and Grandpa Hunt! Told you it was a TON of people!! There was also a ton of food! Mommy even got me turkey and sweet potato baby food for the occasion! All in all it was alot of fun!

Music Lessons with Great Grandma!!!

I went to visit my great grandma and grandpa this weekend. I haven't seen them since I was a few months old b/c they travel to PA every spring and then come back to FL in the winter. They just got back on Friday so mommy and daddy took me to spend the day with them on Saturday. We had sooo much fun! We all went to the "Red Barn"...its like a flea market and mommy got really good deals on lots of produce...she was really excited about getting sweet potatoes for .49 cents a lb...apparently thats really good. Then after that we went to their house and I had a lot of fun getting into all their stuff! Great Grandma decided to give me my first piano lesson in an effort to keep me occupied and out of all the breakable "nic-nacs". Well...it worked...I LOVED the piano! I hope mommy gets me one for Christmas!!! I played it for a long time! And of course mommy had to get me on video...geez..can I do anything without her taking a picture or video of it??? Oh well I guess I will appreciate it someday.

The Year of Weddings!!

I think I may hold the record for attending the most weddings in a baby's first year of life!! My Great Aunt got married on Friday and that makes her's the 4th wedding so far..and I am not even 9 months old!! I am getting pretty use to them by now...I even helped one of the guys with his toast by saying a few words(well in my baby language) VERY loudly...mommy was embarrassed,not sure why...I was just trying to say Congratulations! Evey one else at the wedding thought my speech was good, the dj even offered to give me the mic! Mommy said no though... She ruins all the fun!
Well, after my great speech I, of course, flirted with all the ladies and then settled down with daddy and chewed on a spoon for the rest of the night...it felt really good on my gums! My bottom tooth is almost all the way through and it hurts!

My first Halloween...

Sorry it took me so long to write about my first Halloween but I was waiting for Aunt Stephanie to send mommy all the pictures...and she just did last night.

Anyway, I had so much fun! I went over to my Nana's house and trick or treated in her neiborhood. All her neighbors loved me! One of my girlfriends, Brilei, came over to my nanas and went Trick or Treating with me...she was Tinkerbell. Me and Brilei got a lot of candy! But she actually got to eat hers...mommy and daddy were fighting over the m&m's in my bag! Not fair!
Oh....I went to one house and when the girl at the door put out her candy bowl...it had a ferret in it!! The ferret was so cute!! I was laughing at him and petting him! Mommy and Brilei didn't like him too much though...I wonder if daddy will let me get one...? Probably not...mommy wouldn't be too happy with him!
All in all I had a pretty fun Halloween ...I can't wait til next year..but I hope mommy and daddy let me eat the m&m's!

For those of you who don't know what a rayhawk is...its basically a mohawk...but all the crazy people here are getting them and calling them rayhawks in celebration of the Rays going to the World Series.
Wait....No...mommy isn't that nuts! She didn't give me a real mohawk! She just used something called "hair glue" that was daddys and put the middle up to make a fo-rayhawk! I think mommy should do my hair like this all the time...I know how lots of girls go for the "bad boys" and I think this makes me look like a hardcore bad.. butt! what... did you think i was gonna say something else?? Remember I am only a baby!!!!! geez!

Since I started crawling mommy just keeps putting up all these pillows right in the middle of the living room. Its driving me crazy! I don't know why she is doing it but its blocking me from all the fun stuff like the bar stools and the big fake tree I like knocking over!
So please...next time you see my mommy can you please tell her the pillows don't look good there...then maybe she will move them and I can roam free!

Batman goes to Disney World!!

Not the REAL batman silly!...just me dressed as batman again! Thursday mommy and daddy took me to Disney World for "Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween"! I had sooo much fun...even though it rained a ton!!!! I didn't get wet at all though...thats a big benefit of being a baby...ha...mommy and daddy were soaked...but made sure I didn't get a drop of rain on me!
For Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween everyone gets to dress up and go treat or treating and ride rides! I of course went as batman, mommy went as batgirl, and daddy went as...well... just daddy...he is lame and didn't wanna dress up! mommy's friend Kylee(she's pregnant) went as "pregtastic" a pregnant superhero she made up....I really liked her big superhero symbol "P" on her belly! I keep pulling on it! Oh and her husband Cal went as Superman! I really liked his fake muscles and cape! My girlfriend Brilei also went...her family didn't do the superhero theme...they did Peter Pan, she was Tinkerbell, her mommy was Wendy, and her daddy was Peter Pan. Some of the characters were even dressed up like ghosts and stuff! Oh and I got to trick or treat! Well...actually I only did it once! Then I fell asleep...but don't worry! My mommy kept treat or treating for me...and her! I wish I could eat all that candy she got! It was soooo much!!! Maybe she will let me next year.
Oh ....and the best part of the night,....I got to ride some rides!!!! My first ride was Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger's Spin! It was soooo cool! Kylee thought it would scare me because it was dark...ha..scare me... ya right!!! It was the coolest ride ever! It had all these aliens and stuff that you shoot at with your laser gun...mommy and daddy thought it was really funny because the first thing I did when we got in the coaster was grab the laser! I wanted to shoot some aliens! And I did!!!It was so fun!

Mommy would have taken more pictures...like of Kylee's super cool costume and my girlfriend Brilei...but before she had a chance it started pouring down rain! And you know how girls are...once they get wet and their hair is messed up they don't wanna even hear the word picture!

Yep...last week I had the ready and the set..but now I have the go!!! I started crawling last Sunday....and now I am everywhere!!! But since I started crawling my mom has a new favorite word she says..."no"....I don't know what the heck it means...maybe she changed my name to it because she says it ALL the time. She said it when I crawled to the big fake plant in the living room...right before I knocked it over, then she said it everytime I went over to the blinds and pulled on them, and again everytime I went to the magazine rack trying to pull it over. I don't really know if I like the name "no" but I sure do like crawling! I can go anywhere now..as long as I hurry before mommy sees!

1st Hockey Game

yep...Yesterday Daddy and Mommy took me to my first hockey game to watch the Lightening play. Grandpa was able to get us box seats so we were watching the game in comfy leather seats and mommy and daddy got tons of free food and drinks...I just got a stinkin bottle and baby food but I still had a ton of fun!!! I sat on daddy's lap just jumping up and down...smiling...and clapping. I really like hockey! Everyone loved my Lightening outfit that Aunt Stephanie and Uncle Richie bought me!
Oh and lots of the ladies stopped by to say how cute I was! Mommy tried to find a bathroom to change me at one point and got stopped 6 times by different ladies to ooohhh and awwww over me! Man...I am soo glad I got my daddy's blue eyes! They sure do get the girl's attention!

Another Wedding!

Yep..this was my 3rd wedding this year! I am a pro now! I just show up...look cute, flirt with the ladies, then fall asleep while mommy "rocks" me in the conga line!
Eevryone was amazed by how good I was...I even slept straight through the groomsmen dressing up as the village people...cowboy running in with guns(fake) and one hollering like an indian. I wish I would have stayed up to see that! Mommy said it was really funny!

So it wasn't the most romantic date...but hey..so what if both our moms were there and it was on the floor at Zayda's mommy's work...we are only babies you know. But hey...we did exchange pacifiers a few times!! And we both had fun! Zayda is 2 months older then me (told yea..the older girls love me!) She lives about a half hour from me. I wish she lived closer! I would LOVE to see her everyday! Here are a few pics of us together.
I was trying to hold Zayda's hand without her mommy noticing...I didn't want Zayda's mommy to tell her daddy!! Zayda's daddy watched me once and had a talk with me...he told me I wasn't allowed to do that kind of stuff...just because Zayda and I took a nap in the same crib together..he should of had a talk with our mommies...they are the ones who put us in the crib together!

So mommy got out that dang camera again! This time I was sitting in my chair that daddy got me from Bass Pro Shops. I was just watching tv when daddy starting whisling at me, I think its so funny when he does it so I started laughing...but the even funnier thing was that daddy didn't even know mommy was recording! He just thought she was taking a picture...so he tells mommy to take the picture already and mommy told him she was recording it and called him a goof ball...I thought that was pretty funny too...apparently daddy doesnt like to be recorded eirther...he whipered to mommy to stop shortly after haha! Thanks dad!

Well..I had my stinkin shots on Thursday! Two in one leg and two in the other! But I handled it like a man! I think mommy was a bigger baby then me...she doesn't think I saw...but she had tears in her eyes when I screamed. And yea...so what if I screamed..you would scream too if some lady was holding both of your legs down and jamming 2 shots into them at the same time! But it was only for a second...the the lady smiled at me and I smiled back. Mommy says I will smile at anyone who looks at me...I will...exspecailly girls!!

Well here is the importanat stuff. I weight 19 lbs 2 ozs (75 percentile) and I am 27.5 inches long (81 percentile). My pediatrication says I am looking good ( thats what all the ladies tell me ;0) I am hitting all my milestones. The dr. couldn't believe I was sitting up the whole time I was there...mommy said I was just trying to show off!
Well..I have to go back next month for my second does of the flu shot. I might make daddy take me so I don't have to hold mommy's hand!

Sea World!

Last Saturday Mommy and Daddy took me to Sea world in Orlando. I had sooo much fun! I saw Sharks, Dolphins, Polar Bears, lots of fish, and a Walrus! I Loved it! I just chilled out in my stroller looking around at everything! I liked "Shark Encounter" the best! You walk through a big tunnel and all the sharks are swimming above you! I was looking up and getting excited everytime one would pass by! Daddy got passes for 2 years so we can go whenever we want. I wanted to go back this weekend but mommy and daddy had a garage sale so we couldn't. But mommy said we will probably go again next weekend!

Well I figured I would finally roll over on camera for mommy so she would STOP sticking the camera in front of my face everytime she lays me on the floor. Ever since I started this rolling over thing she has been trying to "catch " me but I think its funny to stop as soon as she gets that stinkin camera out! I will just roll all over the place and then mommy will run for the camera and turn it on ..then I will just look at the camera with this blank look like..."what??...I'm not doing anything!" haha! But I started feeling bad for her , so today I just kept rolling. Mommy was sooo happy she caught me!
But after she turned the camera off she picked me up and I got MAD!!!! I really was trying to roll my way into the kitchen and get me some more of that yummy homemade baby food but she just had to stop me! So I let her have it! Then I got my way,...haha...I got yummy pears and peaches!
Well..there you have it! I hope you all are happy. I know my thinking was that mommy would stop with the videos once she "caught" me...but now I'm thinking its only gonna make things worst! Now she is gonna try to catch me when I start crawling, walking, talking,...wait...when is it gonna stop...oh geez...she better not try to record my first date!!!! Oh what did I just get myself into!

Homemade sweet potatoes, apples, and green beans..Oh My!!!

So lately mommy has been ALL about saving money. She has been looking for all the best deals and even gets excited when she sees the savings at the bottom of the receipts...what a nerd! Well in an effort to save some money and to keep me super healthy mommy started making all my baby food! A friend of hers, Jen, told her about a website called wholesomebabyfood.com and she spent hrs on it the other night after I went to bed....like I said, what a nerd! So Friday when mommy got off work she picked me up from nana's house and we went to the grocery store to get some fruits and veggies for my baby food. That took a while...mommy said it was because school was starting back for the big kids so all the other mommies were out buying school supplies....all I know is that I was TIRED!!! I feel asleep in the car on the way home....

Apparently while I was taking my nap mommy made a BIG mess in the kitchen!!

She eventually got it all cleaned up and made Apples, Banana-Apple Mash, Sweet Peas, Green Beans, Sweet Potatoes, and Avocados!! She still has Peaches and Pears to make but she said she has to wait until they are ripe. Here is me with all the baby food!!! yea...real cute mom...stick frozen baby food all over me!!!

She freezes it in ice cube trays( yep its good in the freezer for 3 months!!), then empties them once frozen and puts them in zip lock bags with labels. Each food cube is 1 oz of baby food! So yea...I have plenty of food for a while!!!! Mommy wanted me to tell you all the savings....again...nerd
So she had her receipt in her pants and washed them! But she can pretty much remember how much everything was....she spend about $18 on everything. All in all she made 176 cubes of baby food!!!! Thats equal to a little over 70 stage 1 jars (2.5oz) and a little over 35 jars of stage 2 (5 ozs) I am eating about 4 cubes...so somewhere in the middle! If my mommy bought Earth's Best brand its .99 a jar for the stage 2 so it would have cost her over 35 bucks with tax!!! But it didn't even cost her 20! I don't really care that she is saving...I am just happy that its so yummy! Here I am eating the final product!! Homemade sweet potatoes...fresh out of the oven too!!!

Aunt Stephanie was feeding them to me....she needs to take lesson on feeding me from mommy...she just doesn't do it fast enough! Exspecially with something like fresh, still warm sweet potatoes!!

wow...what a day! All that grocery shopping...then having to watch mommy cook all that food, then eating all those sweet potatoes! I was so tired that I feel asleep in daddy's arms while he was playing nascar!

Beach Wedding

Yesterday was a fun day! I went to mommy and daddy's friend's wedding, Shawn and Janelle. Yep Shawn has the same name as me...just spelled different! And nope...I am not named after him! Daddy just liked the name...so mommy made sure to spell it different. My daddy was in the wedding as the best man..or whatever they call that. He did a good job, and mommy kept saying that I looked just like him...actually, EVERYone was saying that. But I think it was just because daddy and I both had white shirts and kakhis...oh and the blue eyes. The wedding was really nice...it was on the beach. Mommy was REALLY worried that I was gonna started screaming or something when Janelle walked down the isle crying and ruin "the moment"...but I didn't. I actually didn't make a peep the WHOLE time. I was just relaxing on the beach. Mommy thought maybe it was something to do with being outside and the weather being so good. But little did she know, I was just too busy checking out that cute flower girl to make any noise! People couldn't get over how good and "smiley" I was. You would think these people had never seen a good, quite, laid back baby! Man I should have made some noise when they kept pitching my cheeky and telling me how chuncky I am though! Good thing I am not self consious!

All in all it was a good time! What baby could ask for any better...just chillin out, eating pears, and drinking a bottle while listening to Jack Johnson on the beach!

Mommy is a little late at this blogging thing but better late then never right?! Well...here is my last 6 months in a nut shell...I was born on February the 20th at 5:44 pm weighing in at 7 lbs 10 ozs and 19 and 1/2 inches long. I was super cute from day one! But you don't have to take my word...you can just take a look at the pics that my mom uploaded. She takes pictures and videos ALL the time!!!! Any toddlers out there reading this??...can you PLEASE tell me if this picture taking stuff ever stops???Just email me ... girls preferably ; ) Anyway..well yea so I did all that newborn stuff ...you know... the eating every 2 hrs nonstop...including the middle of the night, sleeping lots, and of course pooping all the time!!! Oh the newborn days....those were the good old days! How they fly by!

Fast forward to now...I am almost 6 months old and I have changed alot since my newborn days...I can hardly recognize myself! I feel like a completely different kid! Mom lets me eat real food now..well... real baby food. And, oh...guess what.. I roll over! ooo yea ...watch out Timmy and Jimmy (my cats) I'm gonna roll over and grab your tails!!! haha just wait til I can crawl!

Oh yea...I bet all the fam and friends wanna know that important stuff like my weight...good thing I'm not a girl..and don't have to worry about it! Well at my last apt I was 17lbs 15ozs...I think I went about a week or so ago? I go again on the 28th of August for my 6 month shots!!! I hate those. But I can handle them! I let you know how they go.

Well....now that mommy has this thing started maybe you will know whats going on with me more often! You can just keep staring at my super chunky cheeks and big blue eyes til the next time my mommy decides to hop on here with an update!
